Delightfully Dark Finds

I suppose it's blatantly obvious by now that I can't get enough of anything Beetlejuice related, so how could I not love these cool prints of Lydia Deetz and a Sandworm by Mike Oncley, on Etsy.

Yes, I love discovering interesting new illustration and the fact that the subject matter happens to be a favourite movie of mine is an extra bonus!

  3. 'I, myself, am strange and unusual' has to be one of THE best lines from the film and one a lot of Beetlejuice fans can definitely relate to! I can totally see that Lydia print on my bedroom wall! xxx

    1. Hi VainGlorySinner,

Yes, that is a line that I can definitely relate to! In fact, I should have it printed on a business card because it couldn't be more appropriate in my case! Haha.

  4. Those prints are lovely!
The Sandworm reminds me of the opening of the movie Monsters Inc.

    1. Hi Christel,

Oh, now you've got me curious to re-watch 'Monsters Inc.' I haven't seen it in a long while and I can't recall the opening.

  7. I'd seen the Lydia print, but the Sandworm was new to me! They're very cool in a graphic way. I like that he added the little door next to the Sandworm. Thanks for posting who the artist was! The Lydia print was one of those Pinterest mysteries, where I didn't know what the source was.

    1. Hi Justine,

Actually, you were the one who first drew my attention to the Lydia print and then, in my usual dog with a bone fashion, I went on a quest to find the artist. Haha. That's when I discovered the Sandworm print. Apparently, it's part of a set of three 'Beetlejuice' prints, but I haven't come across the third one... yet! ;)

Yes, I really like the little door in the Sandworm picture too. It's that little portal back to the real world from the surreal world of "Saturn".

    1. Hi Adsila,

Thanks! Your desk sounds pretty cool. You'll have to do a photo shoot for your blog. I love seeing people's decor and the way they decorate their workspaces. I'm obviously very nosey! Haha.
