On the Eleventh Day of Creepmas, Great Pumpkin gave to me...

Meh

Experiencing a little Yuletide fatigue? Has retail over-saturation left you feeling decidedly lacking in the holiday good tidings department? Then let your tree ornaments convey your true shortage of enthusiasm. Get your own "meh" Christmas decoration from Etsy shop, Yellow Bug Boutique.

  1. we went to the mall for like 10 minutes... people were mean and angry like they didn't know the holiday was just around the corner. it's kind of like their needs were more important than anyone else... i started to scream out loud "amazon.com", "amazon.com", "amazon.com"... my wife did not find this funny.

  2. Emma, how funny! The ornaments that I could come up with.. not appropriate to put online :]

iZombie I agree. I've done 90% of my shopping online so I don't have to deal with the a-holes.

  3. I would have loved a basket of a hundred of these to throw at the crazy people lined up at the Chapters checkout, everyone looked like they were going to a funeral, no Christmas cheer at all. I refused to get in line and participate in the lunacy, went home, put my feet up and watched Zombieland.

  4. Hi iZombie,

I feel your pain! I can't help imagining you as Peter Finch, in the movie 'Network', doing your own version of "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!".

    Hi Be Witchy,

I just came across this ornament randomly and it made me laugh. I can just imagine some of the ornaments you've come across. Haha.

    Hi art bliss,

I know! People just turn feral at this time of year. Forget Christmas cheer - it's dog eat dog! 'Zombieland' sounds like a good antidote to the Yuletide madness! :)

  5. I do not Christmas shop. It's way to commercialized. My husband and I wait until AFTER Christmas and do some shopping for what we need. We wish Santa would deliver us a whole new living room set... but that ain't gonna happen. So, WE have to do it and it will be in January.

MEH! Bah Humbug to all, and to all a good night!

  6. Hi Lorelei,

"MEH! Bah Humbug to all, and to all a good night!"

You've given me a good laugh after a somewhat exhausting and stressful weekend. Bah Humbug, indeed!

  8. Hi LuLu,

Haha. I know! "Meh" is just one of those perfect little words that succinctly expresses a certain state of mind.

  9. From the creators of aforementioned object - glad you liked it! Here's another YBB-approved usage - next time you're drug off to some inane Christmas party and greeted at the door by a reindeer-antlered hostess, just give her this to hang on the tree and head for the punch bowl. Chances are she'll pretty much leave you alone.
